Caseit 2011

Official Website:

From February 2 to 5, 2011, teams from across the globe will participate in various events including a 24-hour case deliberation and a day of presentations. These presentations will be held at Simon Fraser University’s downtown campuses – SFU Harbour Centre and Segal Graduate School of Business.

The case competition consists of 16 teams, each consisting of three undergraduate students (3rd, 4th, or 5th year) and a team coach or faculty advisor. Participants will have 24 hours to solve and present their team’s solution to a judging panel composed of industry professionals from our sponsor companies which range in a variety of firms.
CaseIT is an annual international undergraduate business case competition with a strong focus in Management Information Systems (MIS). As a student organized event, it is has been our mission to find the best and brightest in case analysis.

Registered teams are NOT guaranteed an invitation to CaseIT 2011 as entry to compete is on a Preliminary Case basis.

The preliminary round:
On Monday November 1, 2010, teams will be issued an unpublished MIS case via e-mail. Teams will then have 21 days to prepare a Preliminary Case submission. Only one team per university can submit the presentation to the CaseIT 2011 Evaluation Committee. Based on the evaluations of designated professors from the Faculty of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University, the top 16 teams will be chosen to compete in CaseIT 2011.
